DANGEROUS TIMES WE LIVE IN

This week has seen some disheartening news which put Israel in danger. I have never felt Israel was in danger like this even during the times during the 73 war. Not only is Israel in danger militarily from Hamas and Iran she is in danger politically as a country. This week three news articles that have especially raised my concerns.


1. Prime Minister Olmert met with members of the Yesha Council's Council members and confirmed that settlements concessions are inevitable and that a freeze would be announced..


This has shocked some people but not me. I never doubted a instant that Olmert would try and freeze settlement activity before the summit. But this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that core issues will be discussed at the summit. This in clear contradiction to statements made just last week that there would be no agreements on core issues at the summit. This plus the fact that PA negotiators would not recognize Israel as a Jewish State. This again proves the true colors of the Palestians. There is no doubt in my mind that if settlement activity is frozen then at the very least political confrontation is coming and possible Civil War.


2. Secretary of State Rice speaking today to the General Assembly of the United Jewish Communities indicated that Israel she believed that a majority of Israelis were prepared to give up the West Bank.

Secretary of State Rice this week indicated that she thought that that the majority of Israelis were prepared to give up the West Bank. Of course as usual she is not listening to the Israeli people which do not share her view. Again this statement proves that the ultimate goal of the United States was the evacuation of Israel and the settlements from Judea and Samaria, and the dismantling of the State of Israel as a Jewish State. I guess she took her lessons from Former President Carter who she asked for advice earlier.


3. The Jerusalem Post reported that US anti-genocide task force was to include W. Bank, Gaza probes. Later it was denied by the task force. The task force will include former US Defense Secretary William Cohen, Jack Kemp, Madeline Albright. Now why would these so called distinguish statesman want to even investigate this, or even consider this a possibility as the original artical stated?
